Water Island B&W

I took a quick run through some of my pictures from this past trip and wanted to shift them to black and white. More as a "forced" change to see if I really like B&W and perhaps offer myself a hint that connects to my personal photographic niche.

My observation is that I actually do like B&W more... even for sunset pictures that are typically all about color. These photos could certainly benefit from more clouds, more depth and dramatic interest in the sky (mostly timing related), but I think even without these nuances, I still like them better than the color versions. I would have guessed that I would lose so much without the sunny reds and yellows... but I find that I don't really miss that as much as I thought I might.

A few B&W shots duplicated to keep the B&W "collection" complete, but even the tiny post office looks better to me this way!
