The lighting was much less forgiving - high dynamic range between the sun lit treetops and the deep, dark river eddies and rocks.
I need to make my way there again, perhaps earlier in the morning or, even better, when it is overcast. Cloudy days offer a soft-box effect that helps dramatically close the gap in lighting value of the brightest brights and the darkest darks.
Anyway, it was nice to get out there in the crisp morning air. Will be out there again as the leaves start to turn, so stay tuned.
