Overall, the cruise was great! We had one day or rain (10-12 foot swells had us walking like drunken sailors), but otherwise, the weather was wonderful and allowed us to hang at the pools, walk the sandy beaches of Bermuda and enjoy the company of family. As always, the food was constant and we all found ourselves eating at all hours of the day and night.
Here's a picture of the bustling pool deck and a shot of the Promenade Deck with stores and restaurants.

Here is a shot of the ship as it sat docked at King's Wharf in Bermuda. At just over 1000 feet in length, this ship is a biggie! Alex and I played some minature golf on the back deck of the ship one afternoon.

Here is a picture of the family after taking a short taxi ride to Horseshoe Bay Beach, legendary for pink sands. Although the sand wasn't very pink, it was pink-ish and the scenery was really quite beautiful. The beach got crowded in mid-afternoon, so we made our way back to the boat.

On the way back, we had the taxi drop us off at Sea Glass Beach. This short stretch of beach is absolutely covered with sea-glass. Broken bottles that are polished by the ocean tides. We collect pieces as we stroll the New Jersey shore, but there is NEVER anything like this. Handfuls!

Back at Kings Wharf, we spent some time checking out the little boutique shops and checking out the scenery. Not sure of the history, but it looks like this may have been a fort of some kind. Saw signs for barracks and the tall walls seemed to surround the entire area.

The Next day we took a short ferry ride into the city of Hamilton. The city is nice and we just checked out some of the local shops. It was quite hot that day, so we only stayed for an hour or so, but the ride over was scenic and the little town interesting.

During the trip, the cousins played BINGO. Rachel won the $300 jackpot ---- which was a nice win for the team as it was split with all of the cousins and the financier (Grandma).

I woke early this morning to watch the ship pull back into its berth in Bayonne. I sat atop deck 12 when we passed under the Verrazano Bridge, and it was a close call! The tip of the boat looked like it was 20 feet from the underside of the bridge. A neat perspective!

One last picture for now. This is a shot across the deck with the New York Skyline in the background. You can see the "Freedom Tower" as it is the tallest building. A fun trip for everyone!

Great photos. I'd like to hear about Bermuda, and if it's worth seeing someday.
Face-Time soon. -S
