Hiker Conditioning

Did a little refresher on my well-worn hikers today. These Dexter, heavy-weight boots have been in my stable for oh so many years - bought originally back in the winter of 1983. These 30 year old kicks have served me well as yard work boots and most recently as much needed tread to make it up Monadnock. Many scrapes and cuts add to their aging character.

I love these!

Soothed them with some boot balm and letting it soak into the leather while they bask in the sun. Also added some footbed gel insoles that will help comfort my feet from any pounding.

Planning a nice fall walk very soon.

Those ought to fetch a pretty penny on the Bay. If not from a hippie hiker, at least from a skiff boat fisherman looking for an inexpensive anchor.
