Last weekend, Jackie, Alex and I made a short hike up Point Mountain, NJ (Rachel was busy with Summer Camp Prep) --- not a difficult climb, but a nice short one that gifted us with a beautiful overlook that you see pictured at the top. About 900ft. up over the course of about 0.5 mile.
As we were climbing, I couldn't help but harken back to my days climbing Tully Mountain... similar wooded terrain and a rocky lookout point at the top.
Good times!

Enjoy your time with those young children of yours. It won't be but another couple of years when they'll look at you like they just swallowed a Superball, whole, when you mention going for a hike in the woods. That'll be followed by their bedroom door closing in your face.
They'll send you an email asking you to text them when dinner is on the table.
