I wasn't toting my monster 100-400mm telephoto, but still caught some surfers cruising the waves in Rhode Island. These brave souls enjoyed riding in on a curl, jumping off just in time to avoid having their spines snapped on the jagged rocks near shore.
Too old to start now, but I would loved to have grown up along the California coast --- probably would still be out on the surf today!
