Thursday Night Diner Cruise-In

No, not a night-time dinner cruise, but as you can see from the pic, a cruise night at the diner.

Every summer Thursday, "The Spinning Wheel Diner" hosts a cruise night where the nearby town-folk can show off their rolling treasures. Tonight was such a gorgeous sunny evening that Alex and I headed over in our convertible.

I've seen larger crowds before, but even so there were about four rows of prized metal there. The typical Camaros, Mustangs, 'Vettes mixed in with a few older trucks, rodded Model Ts, and a nice old Lincoln with suicide doors. Fun!

PS: Check out the dude wearing the shirt that matched the paint job on his '69 Camaro RS... you can't make this stuff up!

I have to laugh out loud. Only muscleheads who love their muscle cars could sit out in the pitch dark in lawn chairs fawning over their 1973 Pontiac GTOs..."I own one of fifteen hundred that were made with a gray-blue instrument panel. I'd show you, but it's too dark to see."

Seriously, if you keep up this moonlight technique, you might next catch hookers and smash-and-dash ATM robbers. Depending on where you set up the camera, that is.
