Earlier this week, I did some under deck weatherproofing. Took some galvanized roofing panels and attached them to the underside of my deck. Created a relatively weatherproof 12ft x 12ft storage location.
Giving it a test today with the "small" tractor and my big 16' canoe against all of our rainy weather. Will eventually be putting the canoe out behind my new shed and the tractor inside the shed, but this space will be handy for patio furniture, etc. later too.

Things. Where to put them, these things. More things to be able to store the things we already have. We're all there. By middlep life, we all get there with our things. Then, we begin to despise extra things. "Oh, it's just another thing to clean.". Or move. Or fix.
Your post today reminded me of the work we expend to buy., store, and fix things.
I'd write more but the UPS man is at my door and I have to sign for my package.
That's funny -- you are right though, I have several projects underway just to find a way to store more stuff. The amount of overhead that I have just to maintain my lawn and work in my yard is amazing!
I am still looking ahead fondly at the opportunity to rid my life of all these extras (extra stuff, extra house, extra cars, etc) and live a life of more leisure... spend more time doing the things that make me really happy.
A new hobby. Other than mowing and collecting things. I'm with you.
