A beautiful night for baseball -- warm, but not too warm. Certainly got a lot of baseball in... typical game is 6 innings... this one went to 9 full innings!
Alex made a fantastic line drive catch at second base in the top of the 9th inning. Cat-like reflexes and the confidence to go right after the ball.
In the bottom of the ninth, Alex got walked onto 1st. Pitch by pitch, he blazed across the bases with steals to 2nd and 3rd. He would likely have stolen home plate on a passed ball, but instead another boy drove him in with a solid RBI single.
Exciting!!!

NIce job! No basket catch, like I did as a fraidy cat kid, not wanting to take one off the bridge of my nose.
That's funny... this pic was from a pop up that came his way early in the game.
The line drive happened later where it was getting dark and getting a clear shot would have been impossible. I would never have been ready for it either -- it really was a shot that he grabbed.
That's superb photo work.
