It saves time, money and hassle... no more waiting in line for a butcher job from the local barber. No more wasting time driving to the local hair-cuttery only to find that they are closed, or booked solid with grannies having their bi-monthly cut/perm. This is one sweet piece of gear.
All's you need is a strong vac (I use the whole house vac), a flobee and some guts... go on, give it a try! You only have your dignity to lose... but seriously, you will be amazed at how your hair will come flying off - all neatly sucked up into your vac.
I can say that I have successfully completed several haircuts on my son and have subjected myself to several as well (at the hands of my wife). All clippings were accomplished without incident and with a very good result. Go on... you can do it. Really!
CAUTION: Be sure that the attachment is fitted securely before dragging these power shears over your scalp. One quick search of YouTube ('Flobee disaster') will show you why this is critically important. Let's just say that if the guard happens to slip off during your shearing, you will go from glam to radioactive fallout victim in seconds. Good luck....
