Alex and I hit the links today at the Tinicum Disc Golf course, just over the river in Pennsylvania (15 minutes from home). A decent course with some very nice hole designs, despite the gnats!.
On his first hole ever, Alex chained his approach from about 50 feet. Amazing!
Enjoyed a few hours of fun tossing discs together --- almost lost Alex's favorite "crank" in the Delaware Canal, but thankfully he was able to step lightly through the mud to retrieve it.
Good times! I think we have yet another convert!

That's a sweet looking course. It's fantastic that Alex likes the sport now, too. I can envision plenty of fun times while you both learn the local links together. Even when you travel, you'll remember where you visited by a local course or two.
I played over two hours at Wheeler Park, by the condo, this morning starting at 0700, sun-up. Misty and dewy, a real fun time by myself; had the entire course to myself until nearly the end of my time. My putting is definitely improved, and more confident, from time on my home backyard basket. Driving...not so much.
Photos of Tinicum show it to be a super 18-holer.
Oh, and about Alex chaining the fifty footer: Astonishing!
Now he can learn and practice the tried-and-true nuances of the game and, like us, miss every time. Lol
