Bravo!

Our annual anticipation was rewarded last week when we received another hand-fashioned showpiece from my dear sister-in-law, Cathy!

As happens every year, the immediate "Oohs" and "Ahhs" flow freely and immediately, however, a deeper appreciation of this finely crafted item requires more diligent inspection. The layer-upon-layer of creativity and thoughtful design always amaze. My crafty daughter and I examine the work the closest. Embossing styles, edge designs, printing, delicately placed glitter, coloration and intricate cut-outs of all shapes and sizes... all coming together.

Where we crudely staple other cards to a ribbon hanging off our doorframe (see lower photo), this one is always special and sits prominently near our kitchen table as a decoration for all to appreciate.
