I also added a motion sensing light in front of my basement door.
All of these installations provide an added benefit beyond security. The one near my shed will help me when I need to see the lock to get to my tractor. One on my house is right near where we keep the garbage cans and the other is near the steps of my deck.
I really like them and feel good knowing that they should help scare off any intruders, or at least provide some alert to them being around.
The next three will be installed very soon. I am thinking one off my deck pointed at my patio, one out near my other shed (maybe) and one near the front, dark corner of my house. Going to take a walk around now to think about where a burglar might like to approach.

Great installation of the Mr. Beams. They will help for sure. If you have any issue--I had one that stayed on even in daylight--the company will replace it, free, by mail. Good that way. Consider the sodium light to see your entire back porch and yard, snowfalls, rain, wild animals, etc. fun! You're good at this homeowners' stuff.
