Hibiscus
After reading a few chapters in my new B&W Photo books, I wanted to start testing my monochrome vision by looking at light and texture. Found this hibiscus just a few feet from me in the family room... lots to learn.
I added a couple others that I took around the house too... need to get ou tof the house and attempt a few landscapes (my true passion).

That's quite interesting, the melding of monochrome with depth of field (i.e. the out-of-focus background) like the fern-ish leaf and the Geisha head.
