Patio Cleaning

This past Monday (holiday) afternoon, I took out my power washer and went to town on my dirty, darkened patio. Blasting away a few years of mess and debris.

Then I threw a several buckets of polymeric sand on it to fill in the newly exposed gaps. This "sand" has a polymer included and it really locks the pavers in place.

So in just one (albeit long and tiring) afternoon, I refurbished my entire patio to like new!

Just a lone umbrella hanging out on it now, but will toss a couple plastic adirondack chairs out there soon. This picture is from my raised deck.

Due to this reasonable success and the fact that I have several "insurance" buckets of sand leftover in my garage, I am going to tackle my back walkway next. Will be sure to take some before and after pics of that job.
