Out for a drive this morning and headed by Alexandria Middle School and saw thousands of small flags standing on their front lawn. I stopped to take a look and realized that it was a Memorial Day project by the 7th and 8th grade students where they placed a single flag for every 200 fallen American soldiers from all of the wars and conflicts.
As you can see from the photos there were thousands of flags grouped by conflict across the lawn... a nice project that certainly made its point with this passerby.
