These work boots continue to get better and better with age... I power washed them the other day (first time ever) and just got done putting some shoe balm on them. Better than the day I bought them!
Life is similar, I think... although things start out shiny and new and, over the years, they slowly turn a little ragged and aged, there is a certain character that is developed. A life "patina" that only experiences and time can develop.
Gosh I am getting old!! :)

You are becoming profound, Brother. Your shoes age, your mind ages, just as we all age, one single day at a time. Katie and Will and you and I and Charlie "Violent Torpedo of Death" and President Obama and Cher and Charro and everyone.
Like your leather boots, a little vanishing cream, and all looks good again. And they're even "broken in", they know the way you move, the crease lines of your very own feet. Those wrinkled, waterproof darlings.
As with your boots, we fit more comfortably into our skins as we age. Even if our skins don't fit so comfortably on us.
I think your photo is a winner. Monochrome, simple, stark. It really stood out on my Folio Blog updater on my IProducts. Well done.
