I was bouncing down the stone steps in my yard when I ran across this little guy. Stopped me in my tracks. He was sunning himself on the wall during a few of the sunniest hours in weeks. He appeared to be about 2 feet long.
After cleaning out my pantalones, I got my camera and waited for him to emerge. When he once again appeared, I took this shot. He eventually slithered under a bush, only to scare my wife a few hours later.

Catch him in a garage bag and bring him to the Come Together Friday Nights in downtown Clinton in front of the Ye Olde Sub Shop and let him loose on the sidewalk. Snap video of the ensuing bedlam. Post on Youtube.
Good idea... will leave the snake in the garden, but the Come Together Music Series in might be fun. Weather has been crazy around here, with rain falling almost every day. If the sun shines, maybe I'll make it to town for the event... will need to get the lawn mowed first though (about 10 inches tall!).
