Cold Duck

Geese actually, but who ever hear of cold geese... another snapshot taken with my trusty travel lens -- Tamron 18-270mm -- out the passenger window of my new SUV.

Having such a focal range in one lens allowed me to quickly catch these birds out on a frozen lake (no changing of lenses required). The vibration control (image stabilization) was also very helpful in keeping me steady at this long distance.

Truly outstanding photographs, brother. These are very well captured. The church is best in black and white, that much is evident; it shows the texture of the stone, the gravestones, the trees. It is very well done. Catching the ducks on the ice was somewhat of a challenge, I'm sure. The reflection on the ice really does make the photograph.

I look forward to seeing more of your excellent photography on your blog. I also have the CD-ROM of your family pictures from two or nine, and I plan to open and save them to my computer and enjoy those shots.

Thanks for all your camera advice. Still listing more products on eBay to reach my goal.
